Don and Amy appeared on the show eight times.
On their first appearance on May 11, 2012, Don slept with his brother's Tim's girlfriend, 18 year old Cat. She soon got pregnant with her son William. Cat said when Tim was out of town, she went to a party and had sex with Don, who claimed she slept with at least five men. Cat said she didn't know at the time Don was Tim's brother. Cat and Tim live with Don and Amy. When Don found out he was not the father of William, he told Tim "You are not either. Watch.". Maury then revealed that Tim was not the father either and Cat ran backstage. This appearance was never mentioned in any of Don and Amy's subsequent appearances.
On February 4, 2013, Don and Amy returned to the show with their 17 year old son Steven. Don and Amy hired Jessica three years ago to babysit their children but Maury said Jessica went "a little further than just babysitting Steven". Jessica had a sexual relationship with Steven when he was 14, got pregnant, and claimed he was the father of her daughter Cheyenne, now 3 years old. Don said he and Amy had no idea that Jessica and Steven were having sex until she returned three years later with Cheyenne. Don claimed that Jessica was "looking for nothing but a meal ticket". Amy said Cheyenne does not look like Steven or anyone else in their family. Jessica admitted to sleeping with Steven for several months behind his parent's backs but said he was the father of Cheyenne. She praised him for manning up and called Don a "deadbeat grandpa". When she came out from backstage, she, Don and Amy had to be separated by security. "You're leaving, bitch! You ain't nothing but a child molesting whore! That's what you are!" Don yelled. Maury asked Jessica why she waited three years old to tell Don, Amy and Steven about Cheyenne and Jessica said she didn't want Steven to be a father at age 14. "Well, how about 17?" Don asked. Steven also admitted he had sex with Jessica when he was 14 but he said he knew what he was doing and was convinced he was the father of Cheyenne. He said his parents had no idea Jessica had a baby but he did. He said his parents and family need to accept that he's a father and Jessica and Cheyenne would be in his life "for a long time". When he came out from backstage, Don and Amy attempted to separate Steven and Jessica. Steven said no when Maury asked if he felt he was being brainwashed and if he would leave Jessica if proven not to be Cheyenne's father. When Maury revealed that Steven was not the father, Jessica ran backstage with Don and Amy chasing her. Don yelled, "Where are you going, bitch?!" Moments later he said "Thank you so much Maury, God bless you." Steven also followed Jessica and consoled her. "I had faith in you, honey. I trusted you from day 1." Maury urged Steven to "think real hard" about choosing to stay with Jessica, otherwise "your teenage years are finished." He continued to promise not to leave Jessica.
Later, everyone returned and Jessica claimed that Don was the father of Cheyenne. He took a lie detector test denying he had sex with Jessica. He shouted "No! Hell no!" while backstage. In a prerecorded message, he called Jessica "a nasty, dirty homewrecking tramp". Amy said she believed Don when he said that he did not have sex with Jessica. After they came out from backstage, Don said Steven should leave Jessica and "find him a real woman". Don shouted "WHAT?!" when the lie detector test revealed that he did have sex with Jessica. A visibly upset Steven yelled "How could you do that to me?!" The test also revealed Don believed he was Cheyenne's father but he insisted the test was wrong. Amy took off her wedding ring and said she would divorce Don if he was the father. The DNA test proved he was not. Jessica once again ran backstage and hid in a closet. She later explained she met a man at a bar while out drinking and they went back to his hotel room. When asked if she knew his name, she said "I don't even remember". She admitted she also slept with two other men around the time she got pregnant. "What?!" Steven exclaimed. "Are you serious?"
Jessica and Steven got married and they returned with Don for a third time. Don accused Jessica on cheating on Steven with a family friend. A lie detector test revealed she didn't cheat with the family friend but she admitted to the lie detector administrator she cheated with another man.
Don and Amy returned a fifth time because Don suspected his brother Curtis was having an affair with Amy. Don said if it was proven that it's true, he would forgive Amy because she forgave him in the past, but would not forgive Curtis. He was accused of exposing himself to Amy which he denied but a lie detector test proved that he did. The lie detector test also proved they did not have sexual intercourse.
Don and Amy returned yet again because she accused him of sleeping with her best friend but a lie detector proved otherwise.
Don returned with a woman named Samantha who was accusing him of being the father of her baby. He admitted having a one night stand with Samantha when he and Amy were separated. The DNA test revealed that Don was not the father.
On an "After the Results" episode, Amy said she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Don. Steven said he and Jessica are now divorced.
